i'm leaving on a jet plane
Yes, back at home not even 3 weeks from our trip to Naples, and we're off again. Austin this time.
Unlike my previous trips, I'm actually blogging from Austin now. I'm exhausted from having gotten barely 4 hours of sleep last night. I suppose I could have managed my time better, but I was having so much more fun hanging out with friends and going to the track workout than I was packing and organizing. It was so worth it, though. My old friend Bill, whom I met before my first physics exam freshman year in college when he showed me the way to Wilson Hall, moved to Mountain View from Chicago. My newer friend Felix was visiting from Colorado, and my climbing friend Jenny had a birthday that needed celebrating. Oh, and there was also some climbing I needed to do with Felix, Stacey, and Ann. A bunch of 5.8s, 5.9s, and even a 10a and 10b -- and not a single fall. Oh, happy climbing session! And I can't forget the track workout where we did grass strides Wednesday. It's been a busy week! And that was before the jet-setting resumed.
It's off to bed I go now. I'm not sure what the morning has in store for me, but I need some Z's before I can contemplate taking on the new day.

I'm glad you made it to Austin safe! It cooled down a lot out here in the Bay since you have left. Had a lot of fun with you this week... still can't believe we did 10 climbs each in one night (and you didn't even fall once!)
Mountain View owns. =)
